Q. How can I pay?
CABI has three main payment methods:
- Visa and Mastercard
Credit cards must be registered at the delivery address. Card details will only be taken over the phone or via online payments – do not send credit or debit card details via email. We will not charge credit cards until your order is available. - Cheque, bank drafts and international money orders
Make these payable to "John Wiley & Sons Limited". UK Sterling cheques should be drawn on a UK bank. US dollar cheques should be drawn on a US bank. - Bank transfers (charges paid by customer)
These must be made direct to Wiley Distribution (CABI's fulfilment service for book orders) account. When paying by bank transfer it is important to send a copy of the remittance instruction from your bank to Marston (address below) so that we can trace and process your order with minimum delay. - Where goods are sent via a forwarding agent, the price paid is that relevant to the country of the end-user and not the delivery address
- For orders placed in the Americas, excluding Canada, payment should be made in US Dollars

Q. How much is postage and packing?
Individual customer orders:
For orders placed online shipping rates will be calculated and shown during the checkout process.For orders of more than 15 items, please contact Wiley Distribution for a quotation on shipping costs.
Credit account holders: please refer to your terms and conditions.
Q. How does shipping and despatch work?
Products will be despatched only after full payment has been received.
Approximate delivery times for all orders:
- UK: All books are sent via Standard DPD service. Please allow 3 - 5 working days following despatch.
- Europe: All books are sent via courier. Please allow up to 2 weeks following despatch.
- Rest of the World: All books are sent via courier. Please allow up to 3 - 4 weeks following despatch.
Q. Can my order be despatched more urgently?
Yes, if you need your order more urgently, please contact CABI customer services to discuss your requirements.
Q. What happens if the item is not available?
As we process your order, we will inform you if any item is unavailable. We will not charge your credit card until stock is available.
Q. I haven't received my items.
Claims for non-receipt should be made to Wiley Distribution.
Q. Can I return my order?
Returns authorisation must be approved by CABI. Please contact [email protected].
Individual customers:
If you are not completely satisfied with a product purchased, or the product is damaged or defective on delivery, you can return it within 30 days of receipt for a replacement copy or a full refund. If you choose to return the product and it is not damaged or defective you must return the product as delivered in a new, unused condition. For your protection, we recommend that you use a recorded delivery service.
Please note that you will be responsible for the cost of returning the goods to us unless we delivered the item/s to you in error or the item/s is damaged or defective.

This returns policy is applicable to all customers placing orders with Wiley EMEA
- Products can be returned within 12 months of invoice date unless an alternative date has been agreed in advance.
- All returns must be received within 3 months of authorisation.
- Returns are made at the customer’s expense. Wiley will not accept any charges levied by shipping agents.
- Sets/bundles must be in original shrink wrap. Individual components from a set/ bundle will not be accepted as returns.
- Credit will not be issued if:
- Products have been out of print for 180 days or more
- Products have been purchased from any entity other than John Wiley & Sons Ltd
- Any product is not in resalable condition – eg: damaged, stickered, or marked (unless received damaged)
- Products are received outside the returns periods specified in this Policy without authorisation
- Returns remain the customer’s property and responsibility until receipt in our Warehouse and if shipping from outside of the UK must be sent using incoterm DDP. Customers are liable for any shortages or damages during transit
- Consignments should be sent to Wiley Returns Department at the address below and must be packed securely to ensure safe arrival and contain relevant documentation (including authorisation, if applicable)
- All returns exceeding 17 boxes or a pallet (maximum height 1.2m & maximum weight 500k) must be booked in at [email protected]
Please be aware, Wiley will not return product to customers which have been shipped to Wiley in violation of this policy.
Q. What are your VAT charges?
Customers in the UK:
VAT is not charged on printed books in the UK.
Customers within the EU:
VAT will be charged at the appropriate local rate.
Customers outside the EU do not need to pay VAT.
Q. Will I pay customs/import charges on my order?
Since the 1st January 2021, the rules for exporting from the UK to the EU have changed.
CABI books are distributed via our warehouse and printers in the UK. Customers ordering books to European Union countries may be liable for additional customs charges imposed by the government of the destination country.
Q. Is there a discount for bulk sales?
Discounts for bulk sales are available. For further information or to discuss a bulk sale, corporate sponsorship or for any queries regarding discounts and reduced rates please contact the Sales Team.
