Conservation agriculture in West Asia.
pp. 248-262
Abstract
This chapter reviews the research on CA in West Asian countries, which started in an integrated form during the last three decades in selected countries including Turkey and Iran, and by international institutions such as the International Centre for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas in Syria and the Arab Centre for the Study of Arid Zones and Dry Lands. Other countries such as Jordan, Lebanon and Iraq took to CA fairly recently. It also highlights major successes and constraints for scaling out CA, and suggest measures to overcome the constraints.
